This document governs your use of poppiesdough.com and any purchases made through our website. By placing an order or using our site, you agree to these terms.

About Poppie's Dough Inc.

Poppie's Dough Inc. is a woman-owned artisan bakery located at 2600 W 35th St, Chicago, IL 60632. We ship scratch-made baked goods nationwide via FedEx 2Day Express. All products are baked fresh to order in our Chicago bakery.

Orders and payment

All orders are subject to availability and confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion. Payment is processed at the time of purchase. We accept major credit cards through our secure Shopify checkout.

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. Sales tax is applied where required by law.

Promotional codes and discounts

Promotional codes and discount offers are subject to the following conditions:

  • One promotional code per order per customer.
  • Codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Codes cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated.
  • Expired codes will not be honored.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or modify any promotion at any time.

Shipping

We ship Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday only via FedEx 2Day Express to ensure your baked goods arrive fresh. Orders placed after our weekly cutoff will ship the following week. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your order and destination. Some products include free shipping — this will be indicated on the product page.

We currently ship within the contiguous United States only.

Force majeure

Poppie's Dough Inc. is not responsible for shipping delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, carrier disruptions, or other events outside our reasonable control. In such cases, we will do our best to communicate with affected customers and find a resolution.

Perishable products and food safety

Our products are perishable scratch-made baked goods. Because of this:

  • We do not accept returns on food items.
  • If your order arrives damaged or there is a quality issue, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at customerservice@poppiesdough.com or 312-949-0404.
  • We will work with you to make it right — replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion.

Allergens and dietary information

Our products are made in a facility that processes the following major allergens:

  • Wheat / gluten
  • Eggs
  • Milk / dairy
  • Peanuts
  • Tree nuts — including almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans, pistachios, and walnuts
  • Soy
  • Sesame

While we take great care in our production, we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from cross-contact with these allergens. Customers with severe food allergies should carefully review all product descriptions and contact us before ordering. Poppie's Dough Inc. is not liable for allergic reactions resulting from failure to disclose known allergies prior to purchase.

Gift orders and third-party recipients

When placing an order as a gift, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that the recipient is able to safely consume our products. Poppie's Dough Inc. is not responsible for allergic reactions or dietary concerns affecting gift recipients where the purchaser has not verified the recipient's dietary needs in advance.

Cancellations

Because our products are baked fresh to order, cancellations must be requested before your order enters production. Please contact us as soon as possible at customerservice@poppiesdough.com or 312-949-0404. We cannot guarantee cancellation once baking has begun.

Product appearance

Product photographs on our website are for illustrative purposes. As all of our products are handcrafted from scratch, finished items may vary slightly in appearance from photos while maintaining the same quality, ingredients, and care.

Wholesale orders

Wholesale orders are handled separately from our retail website and are subject to different terms. Please contact us directly at customerservice@poppiesdough.com or 312-949-0404 for wholesale inquiries.

Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website. By placing an order, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in that policy.

Intellectual property

All content on poppiesdough.com — including recipes, photographs, text, and branding — is the property of Poppie's Dough Inc. and may not be reproduced or used without our written permission.

Limitation of liability

Poppie's Dough Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or products, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from a purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our website will be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.

Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
